African girl child passes through a lot of challenges in her entire school life- boy harassment, kidnap, gender stereotype, cat calling, rape. These challenges are worse for vulnerable girls in rural setup. In Kenya, the scenario is the same, making it difficult for a girl to compete with a boy academically.
This is why Bicycle for Girls in Kenya, is dedicated in giving girls a gift which was traditionally reserved for boys and men-Bicycle, to access education easily and faster providing solution to their problems. We train girls in riding skills, bicycle repair, leadership skills and mentor them to take a lead in bringing changes which the world deserves. We believe that `` Together, we can bring changes in the world.`` |
